Checking out Amazon’s site today, I noticed they’re promoting gift ideas for Father’s day. And I wasn’t too pleased with what I saw. Yeah, “check this out”. Right next to the link for Father’s Day gifts is a picture of a lawn mower. Now I’m really mad! I knew I should have given my wife that ironing board for Mother’s Day. When you click on the link, they have a nifty little “gift finder”, to help you navigate all the choices. You simply select a category, and like magic, the suggestions appear. Let’s say your Dad is interested in camping. Oh, here are a couple of ideas: Yeah, these will surprise him alright. Firefly and the Quest of the Black Squirrel: Synopsis Or how about this… SAS Survival Handbook: How to Survive in the Wild, in Any Climate, on Land or at Sea Synopsis Sorry Amazon, but if this is the best you can do, there’s going to be a lot of unhappy Dads this year.
UPDATE: Well maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about. At the time of this writing Amazon’s site has been down (archive) for awhile. I’m sure it’s because so many people were checking out those great gift ideas! Comments are closed.
