This article from the Newtown Bee was published December 14, 2012. It erroneously quoted Sandy Hook Principal Dawn Hochsprung:
...a masked man entered the school with a rifle and started shooting multiple shows [sic]- more than she could count - that went "on and on."
After reports that Principal Hochsrung was killed in the shooting, rather than posting a retraction, the Newtown Bee simply deleted the article from their site.
Sure, people delete stuff from their website all the time, but an online newspaper needs to treat their website just as they would the printed version. It only adds to the suspicion when newspaper behave like this.
